First Christian Church Olathe

It is my joy to welcome you to FCC Olathe. We are glad you are taking time to look at our website and we hope you will join us for worship either in person or online.

FCC Olathe has a rich history of caring deeply about our community. We seek to follow Jesus with the kind of active engagement that touches the woundedness in the world around us. As a Disciples of Christ congregation, we see ourselves as part of a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. 

We worship with a blended sense of liturgy and warmth. We find community in saying together the Lord’s Prayer and sharing communion each week. We also leave space for spontaneity and the breath of God’s Spirit – however that may come to us. We hear the Word of God each week and are intentional in being open to how the Word is connected to our community.

Each week we leave with this benediction:

May the grace that we practice keep us connected one to another;

May the love of the God we seek, transform our hearts;

As together we follow Jesus, to the glory of God and for the healing of the woundedness in our lives and in the world around us.
